Uniq-Cover – All Risks
Please note: The following is only a guide to assist you in determining your insurance needs and should be seen as such. Your proposal form, policy document and schedule should be seen as your contract with Indequity Specialised Insurance Ltd, in conjunction with all other correspondence that may be sent to you from time to time. These are the legal documents forming the basis of our contract with you and should be consulted in all instances.
General All Risk insurance covers all items with a maximum individual value of R1 000 that are taken out of the house on a frequent basis (including anything taken into the garden). Typically, this includes clothing, handbags, briefcases and other personal effects that are commonly taken with you, but excluding electronic items such as cell phones. Items stolen from a vehicle are covered only if they were locked in the glove compartment or boot.
Specified All Risk insurance is for items such as jewellery, sports equipment, firearms, spectacles, laptop computers, cell phones, bicycles, musical instruments, car radios, money, photographic equipment and other items that are typically taken out of the house, but which have an individual value in excess of R1 000. These items must be specified in your policy and require proof of purchase and/or a valuation certificate. As the insured, it is your responsibility to adjust the insured value of the item(s). All high-risk items, such as bicycles, car radios (for vehicles with a value of less than R150 000), cell phones and contact lenses must be insured under Specified All Risks, irrespective of their value.
